Kayleigh Green is a director of RK Educational Solutions Ltd.
After graduating with a Master’s degree in Performing Arts, Kayleigh was one of the very first employees. Joining in 2008 she quickly qualified as an Early Years Educator and in 2010 completed a post-graduate course to become the Early Years Professional for The Balsam Nursery.
During that year Kayleigh and Rob became a couple and 2012 saw the birth of Noah, the first of their four children. Over the next seven years, she has successfully managed the challenge of being a mum whilst driving improvements in early years practice throughout our setting.
Kayleigh is also a singing teacher with the Stagecoach organisation based in Yeovil and provides specialist 1 to 1 support for primary children within the Redstart Schools Partnership
In her spare time Kayleigh, like her husband Rob, has a passion for music. Unlike her husband, Kayleigh has a wonderful voice and sings in the South Petherton Ladies Choir!
Rob Green is the founder and managing director of RK Educational Solutions Ltd.
In September 2005, disillusioned with the food manufacturing industry, Rob left his career as a management consultant behind to retrain as a nursery nurse. After gaining a double distinction in Early Childhood Studies he started working as a childminder from his home in Chard. By 2008, following a house extension, the small childminding business had grown to a twenty place nursery and Chester’s House Childcare was born.
In the spring of 2009 Rob successfully won the tender to operate the Sure Start Children’s Centre Nursery based in Wincanton. Over the next four years the nursery was expanded from 32 to 62 places as a result of a growing reputation creating huge demand. In addition to early years provision, after-school and holiday clubs were launched in 2014 to provide further support for families with primary aged children in the area.
Over the last few years Rob and his team have worked closely with Children’s Social Services, providing specialist care and support for young children in need.
With demand continuing to grow, the decision was made in 2018 to move The Balsam Nursery to its current location on the Wincanton Business Park. After a programme of modernisation the premises were transformed with the setting re-opening in August 2019. With a capacity for over 80 children The Wincanton Early Years Centre continues to grow and offer outstanding care and education for the children of Wincanton.
In his spare time Rob has a passion for music, following his favourite band Pearl Jam to every corner of the planet to see and hear them perform!
